West Allis Rotary Wine and Beer Tasting Fundraiser 2011
On October 22nd West Allis Rotary Club had our 6th Annual Autumn Fundraiser, the 4th time as a Wine and Beer tasting event. It was a wonderful event at VMP (Village at Manor Park). The setting was beautiful, the food again was amazing and the Wine and Beer provided by Steak House 100 was very intoxicating. Jazz music performed by a trio lead by Jeff Dagenhardt filled the room. Thanks to all the rotarians we had a very successful wine pull of over 55 bottles. We also had great participation in both our 50/50 raffles thanks to both Jim Mejchar and Ann Affeldt who are great at pushing the tickets.
We had a great silent auction which was all pulled together by Sue Zwitter and assisted by Karen Jasnewski. Thank you Sue for getting all the bid sheets ready especially the ones you printed up just minutes before the event. We had some great items and some equally great bids.
The results aren’t in at this time but judging by the great attendance and looking at the bid sheets I think our Foundation will be the beneficiary of funding to help those people in need in our area and elsewhere in the world.
